Economics
The Office of Research is a huge enterprise within the University
of California, San Francisco. Including the Medical Center, UCSF
generates 2.3 Billion dollars per year. Excluding the Medical
Center, UCSF generates
1.2 Billion dollars per year. The Office of Research
generates income for the University, not only through Contracts
and Grants, but also via recharges for services provided by the
various Office of Research units, including (but not limited
to):
- the Office of Environmental Health and Safety
- the Laboratory Animal Resource Center
- the Cell Culture Facility
