Senate Bill 253, Chapter
789. Stem cells, human tissue, research
Effective January 1,
2003, the California Law requires Institutional Review Board
(IRB)
approval for any research involving derivation and use of
human embryonic stem cells, human embryonic germ cells and
human
adult stem cells from any source, including somatic cell
nuclear transplantation.
