The
University has established policies on the use
of animal subjects to promote their humane care
and use in research and instruction and to ensure
institutional compliance with all applicable federal
and state laws and regulations and University policies
governing the use of animals.*
The
IACUC oversees all UCSF research and instruction
that involves vertebrate animals, in order to ensure
that the highest ethical and animal welfare standards
are met.
The IACUC Office will be closed for Thanksgiving holiday, November 26-27 and for the Winter holiday, December 24, 2009- January 1, 2010. We will reopen on Monday, January 4, 2010.
