Call for Members: Clinical Trialist Advisory Committee

The UCSF Office of Research and the Office of Clinical Trials Activation (OCTA) announce the establishment of a Clinical Trialist Advisory Committee (CTAC). The CTAC will serve as an institution-wide advisory body on clinical trials operations, providing the Office of Research with faculty and staff input on key topics relevant to clinical trial activation and to program enhancements for clinical trials operations at UCSF. As a consensus-driven advisory body, CTAC will discuss and provide input into emerging innovations for improving operations, activation metrics definitions and use, IRB timelines and work flow process, clinical research coordinator pools, investigator dashboards, participant recruitment systems at UCSF, among other clinical trials relevant topics.

Membership on the CTAC is open to all faculty and staff, across all Schools, as well as from partner institutions, including ZSFG and VA. The CTAC will convene monthly (in-person and by Zoom). Please email your expression of interest to serve on the Clinical Trialist Advisory Committee or any questions to Payam Nahid, MD, MPH, associate director, UCSF Clinical Trials Operations ([email protected]), along with a copy of your CV, and a brief summary of your expertise relevant to clinical trials. The deadline for expression of interest is Friday, November 1, 2019.
