New online training course: Clinical Research During COVID-19

*This message is sent on behalf of Associate Vice Chancellor of Clinical Research Harold Collard*

Dear All,

We are reaching out to supervisors and managers of clinical research coordinators (CRCs) to let you know of a new online training course, Clinical Research During COVID-19, that the Office of Research is strongly encouraging all CRCs to complete before the end of November.

The brief course is hosted on the UC Learning platform and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Instructions for how to access the course are below.

The course is designed to support the safe conduct of clinical research by 1) reviewing fundamental information about COVID-19 and institutional policies governing the restart of onsite clinical research, 2) outlining COVID-related responsibilities of study teams, and 3) providing an aggregate list of institutional resources as a useful reference tool.

We are asking for your support by communicating the importance of fulfilling this recommended training to your CRCs. Notification of the course and request to complete it will also be sent via the CRC listserv. While the end of November deadline only applies to CRCs, we are also highly encouraging other study team members to complete this training to reinforce UCSF's institutional research policies during the pandemic.

Please do not hesitate to reach out directly to Lisa Schoonerman with your questions, concerns, or suggestions for improvement.
